This page states the Terms of Use ("TOU") of the Colgate Alumni Website (hereinafter referred to as “Alumni Website”), subject to which you may access this website. These TOU may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. You can review the most current version of the TOU periodically.

A. ACCESS TO THIS WEBSITE

This website can be accessed only by ex-employees of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Colgate”) and/or its subsidiaries and associates subject to their complying with the Member registration process through this website. On successful registration by ex-employees of Colgate they will become a Member of the Alumni Website and can access the Alumni Website

In order to register as a member, the following process needs to be completed:-

  1. Fill in true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the Registration form (such information being the "Registration Details")
  2. Accept the terms of Use of the Alumni Website by clicking to accept or agree to the TOU, where this option is made available to you by Colgate during registration as a member. If you do not accept or  agree with the TOU then kindly exit the website.
  3. On submitting the duly filled-in Registration form. Colgate will scrutinize the same. Membership to the Alumni Website will be subject to Colgate’s approval.


B. ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES OR RULES

In addition, when using particular section of the Alumni Website, you and Colgate shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such sections of Alumni Website, which may be posted from time to time. All such guidelines or rules, which may be subject to change, are hereby incorporated by reference into the TOU.

C. REGISTRATION OBLIGATIONS

In consideration of your use of the Alumni Website, you agree to:

  1. provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the Registration form (such information being the "Registration Details") and
  2. maintain and promptly update the Registration Details to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or Colgate has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, Colgate has the right to suspend or terminate your Membership and refuse any and all current or future use of the Alumni Website (or any portion thereof) without any liability to you.

D. MEMBER ACCOUNT, PASSWORD AND SECURITY

You will receive a password and account designation upon Colgate approving your Registration to the Alumni Website. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or Membership. You agree to

  1. immediately notify Colgate of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security, and
  2. ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session. Colgate cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this Section.

E. MEMBER CONDUCT

You understand and acknowledge that all information, data, text, software, photographs, graphics, video, messages or other materials ("Content"), publicly posted are the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated i.e. you are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload, post or otherwise transmit via the Alumni Website. Colgate as such, cannot and does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content. Under no circumstances will we or our parent, holding, subsidiary or related companies, affiliates, officers, agents or employees, as the case may be, be liable in any way for any Content, including, but not limited to any exposure to offensive, indecent or objectionable Content, any errors or omissions in any Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content posted or otherwise transmitted via the Alumni Website.

You agree to not use the Service to:

  1. upload, post or otherwise transmit any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable or contrary to public interest, public order or national harmony in all relevant jurisdictions;
  2. impersonate, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with, any person or entity, including, but not limited to, a Colgate official, forum leader, guide or host;
  3. upload, post or otherwise transmit any Content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements);
  4. upload, post or otherwise transmit any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party;
  5. upload, post or otherwise make available or transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
  6. intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or any rules and any regulations having the force of law;
  7. You acknowledge that Colgate cannot and does not pre-screen all Content, but that Colgate and its designees shall have the right (but not the obligation) in our sole discretion to refuse or move any Content that is available via the Alumni Website. Without limiting the foregoing, Colgate and its designees shall have the right to remove any Content that we believe in good faith violates the TOU or that has been alleged to infringe any intellectual property or that is otherwise objectionable in our sole opinion, without being liable to you in any way for any loss or damage arising from such removal. You agree that you will evaluate, and bear all risks associated with, the use of any Content, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such Content. In this regard, you acknowledge that you may not rely on any Content created by Colgate or submitted to Colgate, including without limitation information in Alumni Speak, Best Practices or other Colgate Message Boards in all other parts of the Alumni Website.
  8. You acknowledge and agree that Colgate may preserve Content and may also disclose Content if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
  1. comply with legal process;
  2. enforce the TOU;
  3. respond to claims that any Content violates the rights of third-parties;
  4. protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Colgate, its users and the public.

However, with respect to Content you submit or make available for inclusion on areas accessible to Members of the Alumni Webiste, you grant Colgate the following worldwide, royalty-free and non-exclusive license(s), as applicable:

  1. With respect to Content you submit or make available for inclusion on areas accessible to Alumni Website Members, the license to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publicly perform and publicly display such Content on the Alumni Website solely for the purposes of providing and promoting the Alumni Website to which such Content was submitted or made available. This license exists only for as long as you elect to continue to include such Content on the Service and will terminate at the time you remove or Colgate removes such Content from the Service.
  2. With respect to photos or graphics you submit or make available for inclusion on areas accessible to Alumni Website Members, the license to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publicly perform and publicly display such Content on the Service solely for the purpose for which such Content was submitted or made available. This license exists only for as long as you elect to continue to include such Content on the Service and will terminate at the time you remove or Colgate removes such Content from the Service.

You expressly understand and agree that:

L. MODIFICATIONS TO ALUMNI WEBSITE

Colgate reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Alumni Website (or any part thereof) with or without notice, for any reason whatsoever, whether generally or limited to you only. You agree that Colgate shall not be liable in any way to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Alumni Website.

M. TERMINATION

You agree that Colgate, in its sole discretion, may terminate your Membership or access of the Alumni Website (or any part thereof) and remove and discard any Content on the Alumni Website, for any reason, including, without limitation, in its sole opinion, believes that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of the TOU or that you are infringing intellectual property rights. Colgate may also in its sole discretion and at any time discontinue the Alumni Website, or any part thereof, with or without notice. You agree that any termination of your access to the Alumni Website under any provision of this TOU may be effected without prior notice, and acknowledge and agree that Colgate may immediately cancel your Membership and delete all related Content posted by you and/or bar any further access to such Content.

N. PROPRIETARY RIGHTS

This site of has been developed by Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited (“Colgate”) and all trademarks, logos, software ("Proprietary material") of this website are property of Colgate. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the Propriety material.

O. GENERAL TERMS

  1. Members authorize Colgate to send e-news letter, news or other communications from time to time.
  2. Entire Agreement. The TOU constitutes the entire agreement between you and Colgate and governs your use of the website, superseding any prior agreements between you and Colgate with respect to the use of the Website. You also may be subject to additional terms and conditions that may apply when you use or purchase certain third-party content, goods or service.
  3. Choice of Law and Forum. The TOU and the relationship between you and Colgate shall be governed by Indian laws without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You and Colgate agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of judicature at Mumbai.
  4. Waiver and Severability of Terms. The failure of Colgate to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the TOU shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of the TOU is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the TOU remain in full force and effect.
